Product information

This marine VHF antenna is specifically designed for mounting on the masthead of sailboats. Its dimensions have been kept as small as possible to reduce weight, wind load, and cost.
Despite its small size, the antenna is highly efficient and is fully capable of handling the full 50 W output power of typical marine VHF transmitters.
The tapered ½ λ stainless steel radiator, together with the chrome-plated brass housing and the stainless steel corner bracket, forms an antenna that withstands the corrosive environment at the masthead.
The end-fed dipole design makes the antenna independent of ground planes, radials, or other auxiliary arrangements.
The whip antenna should not be mounted parallel to or near other metal parts, such as Windex, guy wires, etc. A clear and as high as possible mounting is preferable, as otherwise the SWR and the radiation pattern will be affected.
